Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy involves the use of many small needles to puncture the skin. This creates a micro-injury and the body’s natural healing properties begin to repair this injury with increases in collagen and elastin production resulting in improvements of skin texture and resiliency.
Microneedling with Hylauronic AcidÂ
Hyaluronic acid is a biological compound that occurs naturally in the dermis (skin). By combining the use of microneedling and hyaluronic acid it allows for improved penetration of the hyaluronic acid into the dermis allowing it to stimulate the body’s production of natural collagen to add volume to the skin, smooth or erase age-related lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid works best to treat minor to moderate lines and volume loss around the nose, lips, chin, and cheeks.
Over time, injected hyaluronic acid breaks down in the body, but the collagen it leaves behind remains for longer periods.

Microneedling with PRP is a cosmetic treatment involving the patient's own blood as a resource to increase collagen production and help treat a number of skin conditions.
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses a device containing fine needles to puncture the skin and create tiny injuries. With the addition of PRP, the filtered blood is delivered into the punctures and releases these growth factors to help repair tissue and enhance healing.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is a filtered part of the blood that contains the body’s own rich source of growth factors and proteins. Platelets are useful for blood clots and healing wounds. The PRP is separated from the blood by a practitioner before the microneedling treatment. After microneedling, the PRP will be applied either topically or injected into the treatment area. PRP microneedling can not be performed at home, it is only completed in office by our medical provider.
