Bio-identical Hormone Therapy

BHRT can be used to treat men and women when their hormone levels drop or become unbalanced.

For Women:

BHRT is most frequently used to ease symptoms of perimenopause and menopause in women.  It  is used to treat conditions such as:

  • hot flashes

  • vaginal dryness

  • insulin resistance

  • adrenal and thyroid disorders

  • osteoporosis

  • fibromyalgia

  • low libido

For Men:

BHRT is also used to treat low testosterone levels in men.  As men age testosterone levels may drop. Low levels of testosterone may present as low libido, erectile dysfunction, bone loss, obesity and insulin resistance.   It  is used to treat conditions such as:

Bioidentical hormones are manmade hormones derived from plant estrogens that are chemically identical to those the human body produces. Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are among those most commonly replicated and used in treatment. Bioidentical hormones come in various forms, including:​

  • creams

  • gels

  • injections
